Samsung’s Galaxy F17 5G, which will be the successor of Galaxy F16 5G, has been spotted on test server in India recently. The device has been spotted running the One UI 8 software with the August, 2025 Security Patch Level.
One UI 8 Update Build & Security Level
No One UI 8 Build for Galaxy M17 5G has been spotted as of now. The Galaxy F17 5G was spotted on test server in India Yesterday with the One UI 8 software. It has the build info of E176BXXU1BYH3/E176BODM1BYH3/E176BXXU1BYH3.
First Build Spotted in July
The first time Galaxy F17 5G showed up on test server, it was running One UI 7 with July, 2025 Security Patch. Similarly, the Galaxy M17 5G was also spotted for the first time on test server in India with One UI 7 with the July, 2025 Security Level. Both devices were spotted, for the first time, back in the month of July, 2025.
Geekbench Listing
Both the Galaxy M17 5G & F17 5G, also showed up on Geekbench recently. However, instead of One UI 8, both the devices were running the One UI 7 Update.
Galaxy M17 5G- Geekbench Score
The Galaxy M17 5G had a Single-Core Score of 762 & a Multi-Core Score of 1596. Galaxy M17 5G was running the M176BXXU1AYG9 build, which was spotted for the one that was spotted for the first time on test server.
Galaxy F17 5G- Geekbench Score
Consequently, the Galaxy F17 5G had quite a higher single Single-Core Score of 975 & a significantally better Multi-Core Score of 2242 as compared to the M17 5G. The Galaxy F17 also was spotted on Geekbench running the same build, which was spotted, back in the month of July, 2025. The build was based on One UI 7 with the July, 2025 Security Patch on top- E176BXXU1AYG9.
However, both the Galaxy F17 5G & Galaxy M17 5G are expected to launch with One UI 7 instead of One UI 8. Now the final call depends on Samsung. Also, the Galaxy M17 5G has not yet been spotted on test server with One UI 8.
